Hi, I’m Faith Lane, RN, the creator of The Reading Roost and a licensed psychiatric nurse with a passion for early literacy and child development.

With years of experience as a psychiatric nurse, I’ve seen how a child’s emotional well-being and mental health directly impact their ability to learn, focus, and thrive. I’ve worked with children of all learning styles and abilities, including those with sensory needs, attention challenges, and emotional struggles. And through it all, I’ve learned one key lesson:

We want every child to feel the joy of discovery as they learn to recognize letters, blend sounds, and build words.
